The Kolanjsko Blato–Rogoza area has been protected as a special ornithological reserve since 1988. 163 bird species have been recorded in Kolanjsko Blato, including 66 breeding bird species. Kolanjsko Blato is located in the immediate vicinity of the sea and a beach; from there, you can enjoy views of pastureland and the Velebit mountain range.
