Oprič: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Oprič is located along the paths of Učka Nature Park. The historic network of walking trails in the Opatija area includes a traditional footpath to Opric above Ika, which is still marked.

Nature and trails

Oprič road is considered a 1.5-kilometre multi-purpose trail for mountain biking, e-biking, hiking and trail running. Oprič road is paved and can be used in both directions.

During the programme periods in spring and autumn, Nordic walking tours on Opatija's historic trails were scheduled every Saturday.

Veprinac vrh, Vetveni Vrh, Voljačić and Grnjac are located in the immediate vicinity of Opric.

Culture and history

The statue Maiden With The Seagull by Zvonko Car is located in the immediate vicinity of Opric. Sveti Frančisk and the Župna crkva Navještenja Blažene Djevice Marije are also located nearby.

Trsatska Gradina is located in the surrounding area of Opric.

In the 18th century, Ika became the most important port in the north-western Kvarner; at the same time, the town increasingly turned to shipbuilding. As the port and shipbuilding developed in Ika, the inhabitants living on the slopes above Ika increasingly moved down from Opric towards the sea.

At the annual event Vino i vruja, wine matures in a submerged karst spring at a depth of 20 metres. On the second day of Vino i vruja, tasting the previously submerged wine and a traditional boat regatta are part of the programme.
