The Loza and Lužina forests are located near Kastav. They comprise diverse forest vegetation, karst rock formations, depressions and sinkholes, as well as the rocky peaks of Majev vrh, Stanić and Mačkov vrh. The Jantarski put is designated as part of the European E6 hiking trail.

The largest cave in Kastavština extends for more than 540 metres and reaches a depth of 101 metres. Entry is currently permitted exclusively to speleologists.
