The historical heritage of Grižane includes the remains, still visible today, of a Frankopan castle perched on rocky cliffs. The complex had an irregular quadrangular layout and round corner towers; today, only the remains of the walls survive.

Grižane is home to the parish church of Saint Martin, which dates back to the Middle Ages. Glagolitic inscriptions refer to its restoration in the 16th and 17th centuries; Gothic and Baroque altar furnishings have been preserved in the treasury.

The seasonal culinary traditions associated with Grižane include the “griške črišnje” cherries in May and the local “žlahtina” wine around Martinje.
