Culture
The Church of St. Cosmas and St. Damian, including its bell tower, is listed in the Croatian Register of Cultural Properties under code Z-2722. An inscription dates the Poljica bell tower to 1768 and names Dominik Regini as its builder. The parish church is a single-nave building with a cruciform floor plan.
The church dates from the end of the 15th century; a Glagolitic date on the window frame gives the year 1497. The free-standing bell tower was completed in 1768, built from hewn stone and decorated with Baroque architectural elements.
The ethnographic zone of Poljica is regarded as an area with traditional residential and economic complexes. These are characterised by stone construction, exterior staircases, massive chimneys and hearths inside. Poljica also contains well-preserved local architecture with stone houses and Renaissance buildings.
The ethnographic zone of Poljica is designated as a protected cultural and historical complex dating from the 15th century; its heritage code is RRI-0315-1972.
