The 24-kilometre circular route 113 Asparagus Trail begins at the main square in Kaštelir. It leads via Rogovići, Cuki and Ohnići through forests, olive groves and vineyards to Vrbanovica, and then returns to Kaštelir.

Culture

The permanent exhibition of the Etnographic Collection Kaštelir is housed in an old mill in the centre of Kaštelir.

The collection displays tools, musical instruments, personal belongings and household objects as tangible evidence of life in the surrounding area in the past.

The detached bell tower of the parish church in Kaštelir was built in 1869.

Trails and Landscape

The “Treasure of Nigrinjan” trail begins at the north-eastern entrance to Kaštelir, near the cemetery in Babići. It follows the former route of the Roman Via Flavia.

Footpath 512 “Dva mlina” is a circular route that begins in the centre of Kaštelir and leads into the Mirna Valley. Its name refers to two old mills located nearby.

Culinary Experiences

Gramperijada is a potato festival held every summer. Local potatoes prepared in several ways, dishes prepared by residents and visitors, local producers and live music are all featured.

At “Friday Tastings”, you can learn how traditional Istrian fuži, gnocchi and pljukanci are prepared; the pasta is then cooked and eaten.

GOURM-E BIKE includes stops at local farms and at Butiga, as well as tastings of local specialities.

Cycling

The Bike Center Kaštelir is connected to ten cycling routes in the wider Poreč area, which together cover 250 kilometres.
