The region brings together open karst formations, green spaces and the river valley.

Raspadalica: Views and outdoor activities

Nearby, Raspadalica is known for its views and outdoor activities. The viewpoint on Ćićarija is about 550 metres above sea level, and the launch site is at 545 metres. It is suitable for paragliding and hang-gliding launches, and is equipped for these flights almost all year round. Local conditions and operational restrictions affect flight opportunities, so check them before planning. A municipal plan dated 4 April 2025 designates Raspadalica in Perci as an area intended for paragliding and hang-gliding.

Mountain biking, free climbing and trekking are also possible in Raspadalica; team-building days can be organised in the area. A grass landing area is located on the Buzet–Slum road. For orientation in the road network, there is another specific reference point: the L50024 road connects Črnica with the L50026 near Perci.

Culture and history nearby

Perci is one of the settlements in the parish of Sv. Roka in Črnica. The parish church in Črnica was built in 1556 and renovated in 1988. The Museum of Hum Aura presents Istria’s past and traditions, the customs and crafts of its residents, and their way of life. Visitors can write a postcard in Glagolitic script, make an herbal cream, taste Biska from an old wooden barrel and hand-letter a Biska bottle label. Activities and access conditions may change; check them before your visit.

The surrounding area also brings together a range of cultural and historical themes: Kotli is a protected rural settlement with preserved farmsteads, exterior staircases and a watermill. Above the Mirna, Pietrapelosa Castle was never completely destroyed; the chapel of Sv. Marije Magdalene still stands. In the 15th and 16th centuries, Roč was a centre of Croatian writing, publishing and printing based on the Glagolitic script. Roč attracts day-trippers, tourists and those interested in history and Glagolitic culture. In Hum, the custom of electing a village head on St John’s Day has been preserved; the seven-kilometre Aleja glagoljaša, which runs from Roč to Hum, also ends there.

Archaeological finds offer further insight into the area’s prehistory: fragments of Impresso, Vlaška, Danilska and Nakovanska pottery groups, as well as Bronze Age pottery, were found in Jačmica Cave, including a fragment of a ceramic pintadera. Jama kod Sluma has a vertical entrance, and it is possible to descend to a depth of 60 metres. Check participation and safety conditions locally before planning this descent.
