Gornja Nugla: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Gornja Nugla lies at the foot of the Ćićarija below Oštri vrh, at an altitude of around 360 metres. The settlement is divided into Gornja Nugla and Donja Nugla.

Srednji Vrh is located near Gornja Nugla. Žbevnica, Gradac and Zubaca are situated in the surrounding area.

Culture

The cemetery church of St Helen in Gornja Nugla was restored in 1614. As early as 1405, residents of Nugla acquired the Misal kneza Novaka for the church; the manuscript later served as the textual basis for the first printed Glagolitic missal, published in 1483.

Svi Sveti is located in the surrounding area of Gornja Nugla, as is Sveti Stjepan. Vedetta di Moccò and Vedetta di S. Lorenzo are located in the wider regional area.

Activities

The Nugla climbing area can be reached by driving through Roč to Gornja Nugla and then continuing uphill to the edge of the Ćićarija. It includes a cave sector as well as a newer sector with sport climbing routes of varying difficulty equipped with bolts.
