Gromača is closely connected with Gromačka Cave, also known as Špilja za Vlakom. The cave is a protected geomorphological natural monument and an independent site within the ecological network. It is 2,172 metres long, hydrologically active, and contains underground streams as well as occasional underground lakes. Its features include spacious underground chambers, winding channels, and calcite formations.
Gromačka Cave contains prehistoric human footprints, including children's footprints, estimated to be up to 12,000 years old. Prehistoric ceramic fragments were also found, dating approximately from 5000 to 4000 BC. The cave was first publicly discovered in 1985.
