Brezovica: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture and History

Brezovica is home to Dvorac Brezovica, an 18th-century Baroque château with a U-shaped layout, two cylindrical corner towers, and a projecting central section. In the main hall, frescoes from 1776 depict battles from the Seven Years' War; the park contains notable rare trees. Beyond the canal lie the remains of the former double fortifications and a round tower.

The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, originally Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, was built in 1756 on the site of an earlier wooden church. Its bell towers were added in 1768, and the church is part of Brezovica's Baroque cultural heritage ensemble. It was included in Zagreb's post-earthquake restoration programme and was scheduled to reopen on 21 June 2026. The ministry describes such restored buildings as being of cultural-historical and tourism value to local communities.
