Belišće lies on the flat Pannonian Plain along the Drava, Karašica and Vučica rivers. Green areas, parks, forests and water resources contribute to a diverse range of plant and animal life. The visitor attractions also include Gutmann Palace, the Memorial Train, the Belišće Museum, the Gater, the Green Houses, Pekmez Street, as well as events such as the Fišijada and the čobanac cooking championship.

Industry and Culture
Gutmann Palace is registered as a Category A cultural monument and serves as an interpretation centre for Belišće’s industrial heritage. The Memorial Train is a prominent monument to the former narrow-gauge railway in Croatia and beyond. The Belišće Museum preserves a collection that opened on 30 April 1975 in one of the oldest residential buildings in the town.
The Gater monument stands next to Gutmann Palace and is the first sawmill gang saw of the former Gutmann sawmill. The Green Houses were built between 1907 and 1910 in the distinctive Alpine style; they have been preserved, form part of the preserved Gutmann Colony and the town’s industrial architecture, and are protected cultural heritage. Seven preserved mansard houses on Vijenac S. H. Gutmann were built between 1890 and 1895.
The former administrative building of Belišće d.d., also called Upravna zgrada or “Palej”, was built in 1905. The parish church of Saint Joseph the Worker contains a statue of the Risen Christ by the academic sculptor Josip Poljan.
Pekmez Street owes its name to the former practice of cooking elderberry jam in large cauldrons in the courtyards of the houses.
