“Remains of the Old Town of Pernik” is a protected cultural heritage site in Perna.

Traditional homestead No. 21 is protected as an individual residential and agricultural heritage building. The elongated, rectangular, two-storey house has walls made of oak planks, a wooden gallery on the upper floor and a three-part internal layout. It is considered to have been built in 1871.

“Mlin na potoku Perna” is one of the historic economic structures in Perna. A water mill in Perna is one of the fully preserved mill buildings in the area.

History

In 1225, the fortified town of Perna received the privilege of a free royal town from King Béla IV. The fortress of Perna stood on Gradina, a strategically important hill overlooking the surrounding area.

Route 2 runs from Topusko via Ponikvari, Vorkapići, Perna and Poljani. It covers 20 km and takes approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. Route 6 leads from Topusko via Ponikvari, Poljani and Perna to Petrova gora; it covers 38.9 km and takes approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes.

County road ŽC 3228 connects Topusko via Perna with Crni Potok and is 17.426 km long. Local road LC 33080 connects Perna with Ponikvari and is 9.121 km long.
