Dubravci: Vacation Apartments and Holiday Homes

Dubravci is often considered one of the central settlements of Paurija, a region between the Dobra and Mrežnica rivers. Those who choose Dubravci for their vacation may want to rent a vacation apartment.

Culture

KUD Paurija Dubravci has sections for choir and folklore, tambura, drama, and ethnography. The association preserves songs, dances, and folk customs from the Paurija area.

Several concerts by KUD Paurija were held in the Church of Saint Anne in Dubravci. By 2017, KUD Paurija had already held its traditional Christmas concert for Epiphany at the Chapel of the Three Kings in Dubravci for eleven years.

On the anniversary of its activities, KUD Paurija opened an ethnographic house in Dubravci. It provides space for presenting traditional customs and crafts; authentic objects from everyday life are also on display.

Events

Jesen u Pauriji takes place every September in Dubravci and brings together folklore associations from Karlovac County as well as guest groups from other areas. The event includes competitions in traditional rural games and autumn activities. Jesen u Pauriji began with an exhibition of local products and handicrafts.

Cuisine

Restoran Paurija in Dubravci serves grilled specialties on a shaded terrace. In the wider municipality of Netretić, restaurants are associated with traditional local cuisine, particularly lamb from flocks kept on local pastures.

Getting Around

Local road LC 34064 connects Dubravci with D 3 at Venac Mrežnički and with D 23. Dubravci is included in the 36-kilometer “Srce prirode” cycling route. The recommended route itinerary lists Belavići, Gršćaki, Mračin, Gradišće, Zvečaj, and other villages.
