Near Gradišće lies Crkvišće-Bukovlje, a Late Antique hilltop fortress above the Mrežnica. The defensive walls are about two metres thick, and the complex includes at least three towers. Also nearby, in Gornje Bukovlje, is an archaeological site of the early Christian Church of St George within a prehistoric hillfort.

Geographical Location
The county road register lists the local road L 34062 under the designation D 3–Mračin–Gradišće–Lipa. In the Municipality of Generalski Stol, the Dobra corridor encompasses wooded slopes, meadows, fields, mills, drinking-water springs and waterfalls. The Mrežnica flowing through the Municipality of Generalski Stol also features waterfalls, as well as meadow islands, wooded slopes, watermills and bathing spots.
Cycling
Gradišće is included in the recommended direction of a cycling route in Karlovac County. Route 3, “Srce prirode”, is a 36 km circular cycling route. Its course follows the right bank of the Dobra downstream to Gradišće; the surface is 97 percent asphalt and 3 percent gravel.
Nature
The area around Toplice Lešće is associated with four named Nordic walking routes: Staza ciklama, Staza šišmiša, Panorama Lešća and Put mlina. In the Municipality of Generalski Stol, the rivers Dobra and Mrežnica, as well as Toplice Lešće, are considered significant potential tourist attractions. At Toplice Lešće, thermal water at 33 °C is used for therapeutic bathing and recreational bathing.
History
Gradišće is assigned to the Paurija area. Sarcophagi were produced in the old limestone quarries of the Paurija karst.
Finds of worked iron pieces and cauldron handles, as well as the remains of a prehistoric settlement, are associated with Gradišće near Lipa; coins were also found there.
