Geographical location

From Gejkovac to Maljevac, the border between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina follows the Glina River. In the direction of Bogovolja, it runs from Maljevac along the Buhača stream. The Glina and the nearby border streams are considered bodies of water that almost dry up in summer and remain comparatively narrow and shallow in winter.

Getting around

At the Cetingradska osmica recreational cycling event in 2022, Maljevac was part of a 44-kilometre circular route. The larger 24-kilometre loop led from Cetingrad via Ruševica, Vilin Križ, Maljevac and Buhača back to Cetingrad. The route was completely paved, while the local roads were narrow and required caution.

The traditional Maljevac Mevlud event “I mi u Maljevcu volimo Pejgambera” was held in Maljevac for the 17th time. Otmić Grad is located in the surrounding area of Maljevac. Radetina Kula, Sveti Nikola and Sveta Petka are located in the wider regional area.

A joint traditional iftar was held in Džemat Maljevac on 27 March. Džemat Maljevac is associated with religious rites, educational activities and humanitarian work.
