The Museum of History and Culture of Novopolotsk presents the development of the town in four themed halls.

Culture and History

The second hall contains a model of Novopolotsk and its major industrial enterprises, which can be viewed from a bridge with a transparent floor. Exhibitions also provide information about the development of the Naftan refinery and the Polimir chemical plant.

The first hall covers the early history of Novopolotsk – from the first tent to the first petrol. Visitors can also see what a dormitory for young people looked like in the 1960s.

Landscape

In the wider regional surroundings of Novopolotsk are Gora Gorodets and Gora Zolotaya Gora.

Water

On the Western Dvina, a water tourism route is described as the Polotsk–Novopolotsk–Polotsk route; one of its stops is the First Tent obelisk.
