Gaschurn combines high-alpine landscapes with special cultural sites and a variety of experiences. The Silvretta is almost on the village’s doorstep; glaciers and distinctive peaks shape the landscape. At the same time, trails through Gaschurn lead to historic buildings and scenic locations. Culture between the Church, Tanzlaube and Museum

Gaschurn Parish Church is a historic church in the Neo-Romanesque style and was consecrated in 1869. Its altar and ceiling paintings were created by the brothers Franz and Jakob Bertle and are designed in the Late Nazarene style. Next to the parish church stands the last surviving Tanzlaube in the Montafon. In Gaschurn, architectural and cultural-history discoveries can therefore be combined without the village being limited to a single theme.

Another point of interest is the Gaschurn Alpine and Tourism Museum. Its permanent and temporary exhibitions focus on the alpine and tourism history of the Montafon. The Gaglaweg leads through Gaschurn to historic buildings and scenic locations. The two options have different focuses: the Gaglaweg centres on the village and its buildings, while the Culture and Landscape Trail combines natural and cultural themes.

For a tour with a pushchair, there is the pushchair-friendly Gaschurn–Klusertobel circular route. It starts and ends in the centre of Gaschurn and leads via Klusertobel and Unter Trantrauas. The Gaschurn Village Trail also has a clearly named starting and ending point: the Gaschurn Center bus stop on line 650 is both its starting and ending stop. Such fixed reference points can be helpful when choosing how to plan your day, without having to limit your holiday to a single route.

Via Ferratas and Mountain Beach

The Rifa via ferrata is located in the climbing garden of the same name near the Rifabecken between Gaschurn and Partenen. It is a well-secured beginner via ferrata rated A/B and is also suitable for children gaining their first experience on the rock. The Burg via ferrata can be climbed in both directions; it is also possible to practise via ferrata techniques there all year round. Gaschurn therefore offers two differently described options for an active day out.

The Mountain Beach leisure park in Gaschurn offers a different type of experience. The site includes two bathing lakes with a water surface of approximately 6,300 m², as well as water slides, a children’s paddling pool, a rafting course and a beach volleyball court. When planning your stay, you can therefore switch between mountain landscapes, local culture, rock-based and water-based experiences.
