Four long-distance hiking trails are named for longer-term tour planning: Around the Bischofsmütze, the Dachstein Circular Hiking Trail, the Salzburg Alpine Pasture Trail and the “Leonhardsweg” Pilgrimage Trail. The names indicate different thematic and landscape directions, although not every tour has to have the same character.

Cyclists also find a clearly defined range of options. BIKEDORF Filzmoos offers 12 MTB and e-MTB routes totalling more than 150 kilometres and covering all levels of difficulty.

In addition, the themed trails in Filzmoos provide interesting information about the world of plants, trees and stones as well as the history of the people of this region. Alongside exercise, they add an educational dimension to a stay and make natural and regional topics part of travel planning.

Culture and Relaxed Variety

The Filzmooser Kindl is a late Gothic miraculous image that pilgrims from the surrounding area and further afield have been visiting for centuries. The parish church of Filzmoos is dedicated to the Apostles Peter and Paul. Those interested in religious art, regional history and long-established traditions can include both aspects in their travel plans.

At the Filzmoos leisure park, all swimming pools have a water temperature of 30°C. Another special activity is a horse-drawn sleigh ride in Filzmoos: the return journey takes around 3.5 hours, including a 1.5-hour stop.
