Hayrabolu lies in the valley of the Hayrabolu Stream in the Ergene Basin. Historic mosques, a bridge and a local dessert give a stay its own points of interest. Choose a holiday apartment based on its actual location, amenities and rental terms; the place name alone guarantees neither a low price nor a particular offer.

Ottoman Buildings

The Çelebi Mehmet Paşa Camii in the Hisar district was built in 1419 by Çelebi Sultan Mehmet. It has an original marble mihrab. In the town center stands the mosque built in 1499 by Güzelce Hasan Bey, considered an early example of classical Ottoman architecture. Its three-part courtyard in front of the prayer hall is designed with four round columns connected by arches. Another stop is the Çorumi Mustafa Bey Camii in the Kahya district, dating from 1687. All three are places of worship: if you wish to visit them, observe prayer times, access rules and appropriate dress.

Hacılar Bridge crosses the stream on the road between Tekirdağ and Hayrabolu. Governor Ahmet Ataullah Bey had it built in 1859. The buildings make it possible to explore the town's history, but do not imply that guided tours are available or that access is unrestricted. For travel, the municipality lists direct bus services from Istanbul's Esenler Bus Terminal to Hayrabolu; current timetables should be checked separately.

A Hayrabolu Dessert

Hayrabolu Tatlısı is a regional dessert soaked in syrup, whose main ingredients are semolina and unsalted cheese. It has been made in Hayrabolu since 1972 and was initially called “Kadı Göbeği Tatlısı”. It is registered as a geographical indication under number 839. This does not guarantee that every café serves it at all times.

For a holiday apartment trip, you can combine visits to buildings with local cuisine. Before booking, compare the specific accommodation address with the town center, transport links, and the price, occupancy and house rules of the property in question.
