Ski resort in France invites to the snowboard festival

In the north of the Haute Savoie region near the border with Switzerland is located a young but already very popular ski resort of France - Avoriaz. Here, in Avoriaz on January 30, 2010 will be launched a six-day International AVOSNOWFEST Festival of snowboard and alpine skiing, which will be attended by world-famous athletes from all over the world.

Nonetheless, visiting the festival in Avoriaz is a very interesting thing not only for professionals, but also for the snowboarding beginners and even for the alpine skiing beginners. The organizers of this great event prepared a great sports entertainment program, which will not leave indifferent any visitor, regardless of age and athletic training. So, after the registration of all participants and the inauguration of the Avosnowfest, on the second day of the festival will be organized a magical night and a fiery freestyle show, which will create the atmosphere of the real holiday. All the days of the festival will be filled with exciting events:

February 2, 2010 - final AVO SlopeStyle WSF-TTR 2 Stars men (snowboarding)
February 3, 2010 - final AVO SlopeStyle WSF-TTR 1 Star women (snowboarding)
February 4, 2010 – downhill free ride (snowboarding), women and men.

The winners expect honorary awards and cash prizes, and spectators will be able to enjoy a recreation area. At AVOSNOWFEST will be also organized a barbecue area with free refreshments and performances of the best European DJs. During the festival will be held a series of master classes, in which eminent sportsmen will teach the art of ski all comers.

Built 35 years ago in the heart of the world's largest ski area of Portes du Soleil the Avoriaz ski resort from its founding attracted the attention of skiers from all around the world. In addition, Avoriaz is famous for its unique architecture: the main idea of the founders of the resort was to integrate the building in the mountainous terrain so that to create a kind of futuristic tale. The whimsical shape of houses and hotels in Avoriaz with polygonal stepped roofs looks quite unique on the background of the snowy streets, where, by the way, you will not meet a car (the traffic in Avoriaze is available only on the horse sleigh).
