Skiing in France: Val Thorens for the beginners
Val Thorens, ski holiday in France

Skiing in France is a theme that is becoming increasingly popular in the tourist world with the winter season. In the next two weeks at the ski resorts of France will be opened the season, which invariably attracts the attention not only of the athletes and fans of skiing, but simply lovers of romance and high quality winter recreation in France. In spite of this, many ski resorts make all sorts of promos to attract new customers. Thus, the highest French ski resort of Val Thorens will give special attention in the new season to the people who try skiing or snowboarding for the first time. Especially for them was created a new “zone of easy skiing” with the total area of more than forty acres.

To maintenance of the new track for the beginners in Val Thorens were built four indoor belt lifts that can be used by the beginners for free. In addition for more advanced beginners will be operating a system of discounts on other ski tracks, for example, the price of the ski-pass for use the 9 lifts closest to the bottom of the station, where passes the easiest route, will be reduced twice. It should also be noted that in honor of the official opening of the season (November 21), during the first four days will be set a special offer for accommodation in a four-studio and for equipment rental. Among other novelties, which will surprise the guests of the resort, must be noted a chic restaurant la Fruitière (“Savoy creamery”) and a new club la Folie Douce (“Sweet Madness”), which will offer visitors not only delicious cuisine, but also superb entertainment. And from 16 to 23 of January at these places for the third time will be held the Week of High Gastronomy.

Val Thorens is the most popular ski resort located in the southern part of the Savoy Alps in a place that has the name of Les Trois Vallees (Three Valleys). Les Trois Vallees combines 8 major mountain resorts in France - Meribel, Val Thorens, Les Menuires, Saint Martin de Belleville, Courchevel, La Tanya, Brides-les-Bains and Orel. The peculiarity of Val Thorens is the fact that thanks to the unique system of interсonnected lifts skiers can go to any of the three valleys. Here you can ski for a few weeks and never repeat the route.
