Kahuranaki: Landscapes and Experiences

Near Kahuranaki, Mount Kahuranaki rises to 646 metres. The mountain is visible from most elevated points along the Middle Road Heritage Trail. Sound and communication features sit alongside opportunities for physical activity.

The Guthrie-Smith Arboretum in the Hastings District is an important collection area for many plant species and a sanctuary for birds and native wildlife. It combines botanical diversity with nature observation. Wine is another regional experience: Elephant Hill offers wine tastings featuring wines from Hawke’s Bay in the Hastings District.
