Discover Vasse
Accommodation in Vasse
Vasse offers a range of ways to spend your holiday: an extensive network of trails leads to other town centres and scenic places, while gardens, sports facilities and markets add further variety. When choosing your destination, you can consider whether you’d rather explore on foot or by bike, enjoy leisure activities or plan a visit to a market.
Trails connecting Vasse with other places
The shared trail network in Vasse is designed for different uses and connects the town with other town centres and scenic places. A recently established shared walking and cycling path runs from Busselton Jetty to Vasse. A section of the Wadandi Track, also known as Rails to Trails, also passes through the Vasse development. These connections give you specific points to consider if trails and outdoor activities are important to your trip.
A 1.6 km walking and cycling path leads directly from Vasse to Abbey Beach. It starts at Napoleon Promenade. If you’d like to include this path in your stay, you can factor it into your day’s plans as a destination in its own right.
Gardens and activities in town
Vasse Lake Park features landscaped gardens, making it a specific point of interest for travellers who enjoy designed green spaces. Without limiting your stay to just one theme, you can decide whether to make room in your plans for a park visit alongside trails and outdoor activities.
Kaloorup Oval in Vasse has two outdoor netball courts and a small playground shaded by peppermint trees. This means you can take the different interests of your fellow travellers into account: the courts offer the opportunity to play netball, while the playground is an option specifically for children.
Vasse also has five designated fitness circuits and six free-to-use outdoor fitness stations. If you’d like to include exercise in your holiday, you can consider these facilities as a focus of your stay.
Vasse has designated busking spots.
Markets and jewellery workshops
The Lions Vasse Twilight Markets are held once a month from October to March at Napoleon Promenade. They feature food trucks and market stalls. If you’re planning a stay during this period, you can consider adding the market to your itinerary.
Another option is a jewellery workshop at Flux and Facet. The workshops are available to book, are for people aged 14 and over, and include tools and materials. For families with teenagers of this age or older, this can be a hands-on activity; for younger children, the stated age limit is important.
Vasse as a base for your stay
If you’re choosing a holiday apartment or house, Vasse may be a good fit if you’d like to factor its trail connections and the range of local interests into your travel plans. Consider whether the links to other town centres, the path to Abbey Beach or a particular activity will determine your choice of destination.
