Accommodation in Chatswood
Discover Chatswood: central landmarks and nature
In the centre of Chatswood on Sydney’s North Shore is The Concourse. Blue Gum Reserve, the Railway to River Walk and the artworks in Beauchamp Park are other specific points of interest. You can get to know Chatswood through a range of themes: central landmarks, bushland, a walking route and art in the park.
The Chatswood Interchange, with its train and bus terminals, is a two-minute walk from The Concourse. If you have specific train or bus journeys in mind, check the current services in advance. The two-minute walk refers to the route to the Interchange; the 3.5 kilometres, on the other hand, is the length of the walking route from Chatswood Station to the Lane Cove River.
Bushland, walking trail and art
Blue Gum Reserve is a bushland reserve in Chatswood, west of the Pacific Highway and north of Fullers Road. The Railway to River Walk offers a different way to explore the area: this 3.5 km walking trail leads from Chatswood Station to the Lane Cove River. You can decide whether to include a natural area or a specific walking route in your plans.
Art is also associated with a specific location: the artworks in Beauchamp Park include a series of four large sandstone-carved figures. For culture-minded travellers, this is a specific point of interest that differs from the nature and walking themes.
Cultural events and markets
The Chatswood Year of the Horse Festival was scheduled for 12 to 28 February 2026. An evening lantern parade was planned for the Saturday of Lunar New Year Celebration Weekend. These dates have now passed and refer to the 2026 programme.
The 2026 Hong Kong Street Market was also a time-specific event: it was scheduled for 20 September on Victoria Avenue in Chatswood. More than 40 stalls were planned, offering Hong Kong street food and drinks, as well as handcrafted goods and products by artisans.
The Chatswood Mall Market and Spring Street Market are listed as open Thursday to Saturday, from 10 am to 9 pm. Check the hours before visiting and planning your day around them.
Choose accommodation to suit your plans
When choosing your holiday rental, its specific location should fit your own travel plans. The Concourse and the Interchange provide a central point of reference; other priorities come to the fore for nature and art. Compare the accommodation address with the places you actually plan to visit, and choose a base that suits the mix of activities you want for each day.
