The Confederation Trail is the section of the Trans Canada Trail on Prince Edward Island. It is 435 kilometres long and has gentle grades of no more than two per cent. In Charlottetown, Confederation Centre of the Arts explores the origins and development of Canada through a range of arts and cultural programmes. It operates Sobey Family Theatre, the largest theatre in eastern Canada, and offers historic city tours with the Heritage Players. The drive across Confederation Bridge to Borden-Carleton takes about ten minutes.
