Sary-Tash is a high-altitude settlement at approximately 3,170 metres. On the outskirts of the village, the SarySoul Mountainlodge is located at more than 3,000 metres; from there, you can see Peak Lenin and Peak Kurumdy. The Osh-Travel yurt camp offers panoramic views of the Trans-Alay Range and is located 700 metres from the Osh–Sary-Tash main road.

In winter, Sary-Tash offers opportunities for ski touring, including backcountry skiing and freeriding. Getting Around
Sary-Tash is a road junction for travelling south towards Tajikistan and the Pamirs, as well as eastwards to the Irkeshtam border crossing with China. From Osh, Sary-Tash can be reached by shared taxi via the paved A372 in approximately four to five hours. For onward travel from Sary-Tash, local transport or organised 4WD trips can be used towards Sary-Mogol, the base camp at Peak Lenin, or the Kyzyl-Art Pass and the Tajik border.
