Astakhovka: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Astakhovka has settlement origins dating back to the early 20th century: the settlement was formed in 1907, while January 30, 1908, is recorded as its official founding date. The settlement was formerly called Baymyrza, named after the nearby shallow river; the settlement’s name is connected with the settlers’ former place of residence. Astakhovka and Astakhovka Station are located on the Almaty–Astana railway line, with Astakhovka Station situated on the Myrza–Shokai section. A road route connecting Karaganda and Karkaraly also passes through nearby Aktau. Those wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Astakhovka can then continue their accommodation search.
In the wider regional area of the district, the Buhar-Zhyrau Mausoleum marks the burial site of the thinker Buhar-Zhyrau. A volunteer fire station serves Astakhovka and Astakhovka Station. The volunteer fire service is equipped with firefighting equipment and communication devices. Reports stated that drinking water supply shortages were reported in Astakhovka during the summer. The settlement has no central water supply and relies on spring water.
Astakhovka Station received a repaired water network with a water tower, a borehole, a one-kilometre pipeline, and four water-drawing columns. It was reported that this repaired water system supplies residential buildings with drinking water; the water was assessed as complying with sanitary standards.
