Roshka: Vacation Apartments and Holiday Homes

Roshka is a starting point for a hiking trail to the White, Blue, and Green Abudelauri Lakes, which connects Khevsureti and Kazbegi. From Roshka, the paved road ends, and a seven-kilometer trail to the Blue and Green Abudelauri Lakes begins. Reaching White Abudelauri Lake requires an additional 1.5-kilometer hike over rocks and scree. The lake lies at an elevation of over 2,800 meters at the foot of Chiukhi Glacier; the Abudelauri Lakes are described as colorful natural attractions of Georgia. Nature

The Roshka Rocks Natural Monument can be reached from Roshka via a one-kilometer, ten-minute hike. It consists of boulders transported by a Pleistocene glacier. Pshav-Khevsureti National Park connects the valleys of the Asa, Arghuni, Andakistskali, Pshavi, and Aragvi rivers. It is known for landscapes and natural formations such as Roshka Rocks and Tanie Lake. The park is home to 1,213 plant species, including 259 endemic species.

Hiking and Trails

The protected areas of Pshav-Khevsureti can only be visited by off-road vehicle. Within the protected areas, visitors can use marked trails on horseback, by car, or on foot. The route to the protected areas branches into the Renaissance and Roshka–Arkhoti routes.

The section from Bogovacho Pass to Roshka follows a gravel road; traveling by off-road vehicle is recommended. The Gudani–Roshka Trail is difficult and is recommended with an experienced, certified guide. The Gudani–Roshka route includes an eleven-kilometer section of gravel road between Gudani and Ukhankhadu, which should be traveled by off-road vehicle. It reaches Tanie Pass at 3,040 meters on the main ridge of the Caucasus and offers views of southern Khevsureti and the Khevsureti Aragvi River.

Culture

The Pshav-Khevsureti National Park is associated with medieval cultural heritage in Shatili, Mutso, Ardoti, and Khakhabo. Pshav-Khevsureti is also associated with local Khevsur traditions, unique local cuisine, and Khevsur hospitality.
