The Galaktion and Titsian Tabidze House Museum stands in Ch’q’vishi beside the Rioni River. The Galaktion Tabidze Museum opened in 1966. The Galaktion Memorial House comprises two rooms, including the poet’s study.

The museum displays the desks and personal belongings of both poets, as well as photographs and illustrated fragments from their lives. At the Galaktion Tabidze House Museum in Ch’q’vishi, visitors can also see the old house where Galaktion Tabidze was born and grew up, with his desk and personal belongings. The cultural festivals Galaktionoba and Titsianoba take place annually in Ch’q’vishi.

Historical records first mention Ch’q’vishi in the 16th century under the names Chq’usher and Chq’ushi. At that time, the village belonged to the Principality of Mikelaadze. During the planned rehabilitation of the Galaktion and Titsian Tabidze House Museum from 2026 to 2028, regular services are not expected.

Nature

Sulori is a balneological resort in the municipality of Vani and is known for its thermal and mineral waters. The municipality of Vani stretches across the Meskheti Mountains and the Imereti Lowland. It includes deciduous, coniferous and subalpine forests, as well as subalpine and alpine meadows.

The municipality of Vani offers medieval churches and fortresses, the Bzvani karst cave and the sulfur geysers of Dikhashkho.
