Lidzava: Holiday Apartments and Houses
Lidzava has one of the few genuine sandy beaches on Abkhazia’s Black Sea coast. The strip of beach stretches for approximately 2 kilometers along the shore of the bay, while a pine forest reaches right to the water’s edge. The beach has a gently sloping bottom; about 30–40 meters from the shore, the water reaches approximately hip height. Culture and History
The ruins of a 4th–5th-century temple stand on the outskirts of Lidzava. The ruins are described as an early Christian monument; they were discovered during excavations in 1989. Ldzaa-nykha is also located in Lidzava, a revered shrine in Bzyb Abkhazia that is counted among the seven Abkhazian shrines honored throughout Abkhazia.
The Khetsuriani House Museum in Lidzava is located at 3 Adamia Street in Ldzaa, Pizunda. It houses more than 2,000 original exhibits on the ethnography, history, and culture of Abkhazia. The displays include coins, weapons, models of residential buildings, samovars, original tools, and works by artisans. One of the highlighted exhibits is a Mercedes Phaeton that once belonged to the Prince of Oldenburg. The building is decorated with metal bas-reliefs and wrought-iron details.

The Old Mill tavern serves Caucasian cuisine. Some Abkhazian households in Lidzava are described as places where homemade wine is offered with abysta and smoked sulguni.
Activities and Discoveries
Monks Ravine is described as having minimal visitor infrastructure. This includes several sun loungers, cafés, and simple changing rooms. Visible grottoes with traces of human habitation are also described there, including leveled platforms and old fire pits.
