The Church of S. Antonio abate in Gordola is a Neoclassical basilica with a transept and a freestanding bell tower; it was completed in 1839 after eight years of construction.
The church contains a 15th-century fresco of the Madonna, as well as, among other works, the paintings “Mocking of Christ” and “Ecce Homo,” which are attributed to Gherardo Honthorst.
