Tschappina: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Trails and winter

The Tschappina winter hiking trail is approximately 8 km long and takes about 3 hours to walk. The Tschappina loop leads via Obergmeind, Obertschappina and Oberurmein back to Obergmeind and is signposted as Route 372. It leads to the natural ice rink on Patrutgsee, where curling is played in winter.

The Tschappina ski area on Heinzenberg offers around 25 km of ski runs.

“Chuggla schlaa” is a traditional outdoor team game: two teams hit a wooden ball with a “Mazza” from one “Larga” to the next. The settlers of Tschappina came from Upper Valais via the Safien Valley.
