The Carrera–Versam hike begins in Valendas near Carrera and leads via Brün, Imschlacht, Calörtsch, Arezen and Fahn to Versam. It takes approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes, is 13.2 km long, and includes 854 m of ascent and 803 m of descent. After leaving the settlement, the section from Carrera to Brün runs mostly along a hiking trail.

History and Culture
Until the first half of the 17th century, Carrera belonged as an estate to the medieval Lordship of Valendas. Paspels Castle and Rietberg Castle are located in the vicinity of Carrera.

Camping Carrera has space for 20 motorhomes and 40 tents on 12 designated levels. Camping Carrera is a starting point for canoe trips through the Rhine Gorge.
