Eslöv reveals different sides within a compact thematic area: nature trails lead through municipal protected areas, museums and churches tell the story of the town, and art, swimming facilities and bodies of water add to the range of experiences. The landscape becomes particularly tangible when hiking. Cultural sites and events complement the range of experiences.
Nature
Southwest of Eslöv lies Eslövs allmänning, a municipal nature reserve. A 4.5-kilometre hiking trail runs through the area and forms part of the so-called Parkspaziergang through several parks in Eslöv. Hälsans stig also runs through Eslövs allmänning, a 6-kilometre circular route with markers at every kilometre. This means that two differently designed trails run alongside each other here: the hiking trail as part of a connection through several parks and the marked circular route.
On the outskirts of Eslöv lies the Abullahagen nature reserve. The small lake Långakärr is located there and attracts many birds, and there are graves of people who already lived there during the Iron Age. Abullahagen can be reached on foot, by bicycle, by public transport or by car. Another place for exercise is Husarängen, a recreational area in Eslöv with illuminated fitness and exercise trails. The north–south section SL2 of the Skåneleden also runs through Eslövs kommun; there are beautiful sections in Harlösa and Löberöd.
Culture
Eslövs stadsmuseum is housed in a merchant's house dating from 1892. The Eslövsresan exhibition traces the town's development from the first decade of the 20th century through the major changes of the following century. The museum presents exhibitions, lectures and other events throughout the year. Medborgarhuset is a major architectural landmark: it is an architectural heritage site visited by students and architecture enthusiasts from around the world. Concerts, exhibitions and theatre performances take place at Medborgarhuset.
Artscape Eslöv adds art under the open sky. In the Gjutaren district, there is a freely accessible outdoor gallery and an art walk featuring nine works of art and installations. The works in the Gjutaren district are accessible free of charge approximately around the clock. Eslövs kyrka also shapes the cultural landscape: the red-brick cathedral was built in the Gothic style and has a tall, pointed tower on its west side. Eslövs kyrka was inaugurated on 29 November 1891; concerts, Saturday music and other musical events take place there.
For a film evening, Eslövs Filmstudio shows films at 7 p.m. on Mondays at Bian in Eslöv. Bian cinema shows current films in the evenings and at weekends. Anyone interested in the local past can view the municipal archive's holdings on site in Eslöv by prior appointment.
Leisure
Trollsjöområdet consists of Sahlins park, Ekenäs and Skytteskogen. The area includes an 18-hole disc golf course. At Trollsjön, the playground has a wheelchair swing. Karlsrobadet leisure pool has four water slides. Karlsrobadet also has a children's paddling pool with water heated to 32 degrees.
Flavours and waterways
Eslöv has a tradition of food and beverage production, as well as a connection between food craftsmanship and beverage production. In the centre of Eslöv, Maya choklad makes chocolate from scratch using organically and ethically grown cocoa beans.
The waterways are also part of the character of Eslövs kommun. Fishing is possible in the lakes Ringsjön and Vombsjön and in parts of the Kävlingeån river. Canoeing is possible on the Rönne å between Ringsjön and Ängelholm.
