Skottsbergska gården also represents Karlshamn’s historical side. The merchant’s courtyard dates from the 18th century and is one of the best-preserved of its kind in Sweden. Sjöfartsmuseet Karlshamn adds a maritime touch. It is housed in the historic Dahla Magasinet from 1878 and tells the story of the city’s maritime history. During a trip, you can thus combine different themes, from the city’s history and trade to seafaring, without reducing Karlshamn’s character to just one attraction.

Cycling, hiking and seaside trails

For active days on holiday, the Sydostleden offers a clearly described cycling route. The 270-kilometre cycle path runs from Växjö to Simrishamn. From Hovmansbygd, it follows the Mörrumsån through the centre of Karlshamn and continues towards Mörrum. This makes it possible to include Karlshamn in a longer cycling tour while also taking a section through the city.

Strandpromenaden offers a shorter way to combine exercise and scenery. The approximately 2-kilometre hiking trail runs along the sea in central Karlshamn.
