The Tolmin Gorges are the lowest-lying entrance to Triglav National Park. The circular trail through the gorges includes a thermal spring with an average temperature of 18.8 to 20.8 °C, as well as the Devil’s Bridge, which stands 60 metres above the Tolminka.

Nature
Natura 2000 sites cover 29.26% of the area of the Municipality of Tolmin.
A walking path connects the Tolmin Gorges with the Štrklepce car park on the edge of Tolmin. The path between the Tolmin Gorges and Štrklepce is suitable for walkers and hikers of all ages; the 1.25-kilometre route takes an average of 15 minutes.
The walking path between Tolmin and Zatolmin leads across meadows and along the edge of the forest.
From the Široko viewpoint, the view stretches from the Kolovrat ridge over Kanin and the Tolmin-Bohinj Mountains to Porezen and the mountains of the Idrija and Cerkno region.
Trails
“Lom je moj dom” is a 12-kilometre circular trail for hikers, runners and cyclists. The circular trail passes through hamlets, as well as across meadows and pastures and along forest edges; information boards convey the past and present life in these places.
Culture and History
The guided programme “The Path of the Three Castle Buildings” presents the heritage of Kozlov Rob, the Coronini mansion and the estate of the Patriarch of Aquileia in Na Doru.
The Tolmin Museum preserves, protects and presents the movable cultural heritage of the Upper Soča Valley through exhibitions, collections, publications and educational programmes.
The Archaeological Museum in Most na Soči presents the history of the region and the archaeological research conducted in this area for more than a century and a half. The exhibition explains the significance of the Iron Age St Lucia culture; St Lucia, the former name of Most na Soči, was its economic and cultural centre. Near the Archaeological Museum in Most na Soči, the foundations of a Roman atrium house dating from the 3rd century AD can be seen in the eastern part of the settlement.
The Church of St Primus and Felicianus in Kanalski Lom was built in 1791. It is distinguished by its stone roof covering and a detached bell tower.
The Memorial Church of the Holy Spirit in Javorca bears the European Heritage Label. The memorial church in Javorca commemorates the fallen Austro-Hungarian defenders of the Isonzo Front during the period 1915–1917.
The German Charnel House near Tolmin is part of the Walk of Peace from the Alps to the Adriatic.
Hiking
Tolmin is the recommended starting point for Stage 12 of the Juliana Trail. Four additional stages of the Juliana Trail lead from Tolmin via Solkan towards the Goriška Brda wine region.
Culinary Experiences
The Soča Trout Festival features a fish market with presentations of local fish products and fish dishes, as well as tastings.
