The “Učíme sa navzájom” nature trail focuses on natural history and cultural history. Its route leads from the municipal office via the “Kostol sv. Martina” church, the school grounds and the Podháj reservoir to Suchovský háj. The trail is 5 km long, takes approximately two hours, has 11 stations and is considered an easy route.

The two nature trails place different emphases within the municipality. “Chotárom Suchej nad Parnou” combines year-round accessibility with a clearly limited time frame and the subject of viticulture. “Učíme sa navzájom” focuses on the connection between natural history and cultural history, arranging these topics along a route with named points from the municipal office to Suchovský háj. Its eleven stations make this thematic structure visible.

Along the “Učíme sa navzájom” nature trail, visitors learn about the area’s most important landscape-ecological elements and the distinctive features of its flora and fauna. One of the five information boards on the “Chotárom Suchej nad Parnou” nature trail covers viticulture and wine production.

Nature

The “Vodná nádrž Suchá nad Parnou” reservoir is an artificial body of water on the Podhájsky potok stream. Its shores include gravel or grassy beaches with gently sloping access to the water.

The “Vodná nádrž Suchá nad Parnou” reservoir is suitable for fishing, relaxation and leisure activities. These uses stand alongside the nature-related content of the nature trails as independent facets of the municipality.

History and culture

The Baroque “Kostol sv. Martina biskupa” church in Suchá nad Parnou was built on the site of an older Gothic church. The presbytery dates from 1700 and the nave from 1708.

In addition to liturgical purposes, the “Kostol sv. Martina biskupa” church is also used as a venue for concerts by choirs from various parts of Slovakia and the world. Its use is therefore not limited to worship, but also includes musical events featuring choirs from Slovakia and international parts of the world.

Cycling

The “Trnavskou Pahorkatinou” route leads to Suchá nad Parnou and then continues northwest past the “Vodná nádrž Suchá” reservoir. The route connects the road through the municipality with a section along the water and explicitly describes the onward direction as northwest.

Wine

The “Rodinné vinárstvo Magula” family winery produces natural wines from grapes grown organically in its own vineyards. Viticulture and wine production thus appear as clearly named topics both on an information board along the nature trail and in the work of this family winery.
