Geographical setting

Rakovice is located on a terrace of the Dudváh River, in the northern part of the Trnava Loess Hills and at the transition to the Váh spur of the Danube Lowland; at the same time, the town lies on Road II/504 between the cities of Vrbové and Trnava.

The Church of Sts Cyril and Methodius is a modern work of sacred architecture dedicated to Saints Cyril and Methodius. Its floor plan has the shape of a Byzantine cross with a polygonal termination. On July 8, 2025, believers in Rakovice commemorated the 20th anniversary of the consecration of the Church of Sts Cyril and Methodius.

The brick bell tower of Rakovice has a square floor plan and probably dates from the late 18th century. The statue of Saints Cyril and Methodius stands in Rakovice at the turnoff to the Church of St. The statue of Saint Florian stands behind the triple Neoclassical gate at the entrance to the manor house park.
