Zlaté Moravce lies at the confluence of the Žitava and the Hostiansky potok (Zlatnianka). At the same time, the town is located at the transition between the Tribeč Mountains, the Pohronský Inovec and the Podunajská nížina Lowland.

Culture and History
The museum in Zlaté Moravce is a local history museum focusing primarily on the upper Požitavie region. Another main focus is the Migazzi Manor House: the Baroque-Classical building was rebuilt in 1789 and added to the list of national cultural monuments of the Slovak Republic on 2 October 1963.
A modern historical installation covering approximately 100 m² is dedicated to the Migazzi noble family. The exhibition on the Migazzi family includes video projections, audio guides and a projection wall. At the Migazzi Manor House, the Town Cultural Centre offers theatre performances, concerts, lectures, exhibitions, courses and other events throughout the year. A preserved stone fountain from the Migazzi Manor House can be displayed without major intervention.
The exhibition “The Commemoration of Janko Kráľ” provides a brief overview of his life, his poetic work and his participation in the revolutionary years of 1848–1849. The site's historical features also include the Church of Saint Michael the Archangel, which was consecrated on 29 September 1785 after being rebuilt from the ground up, as well as the Zlatomoravecká Golgotha, a sandstone crucifixion group dating from 1848 on Andrej Hlinka Square.
The Zlatomoravecká Calvary (Trojica) stands on the site of a Romanesque church from the 13th century and is included in the list of national cultural monuments of the Slovak Republic declared in 2018.
Nature and Landscape
The preserved part of the former manor park is used as Zlaté Moravce Town Park. The area around Zlaté Moravce includes Mount Benad, the Hrušov ruins, the Zřícenina Gýmeš ruins, Mount Veľký Inovec, Mount Plieška and Mount Javorov Vrch.
The wider regional surroundings of Zlaté Moravce also include Zámok Svätý Ján Castle and the Zřícenina ruinice ruins.
Sport and Film
The sports complex in Zlaté Moravce has five tennis courts and a 400-metre cinder track. The Tekov Cinema has a long tradition of film screenings in Zlaté Moravce and shows film premieres.
