Culture

Súlovce was first mentioned in writing in 1244. Historical names of the village include Dubnica (Dubnicza), Súloc (Zúlocz) and Szúlocz. Since the second half of the 19th century, the settlement of Podlužany has belonged to the municipality of Súlovce; a mill was built there and still exists today.
