The Casa da Torre de Nossa Senhora das Neves was built in the first half of the 16th century. Its 16th-century core comprises a rectangular residential area and an adjoining square tower. The Palacete Norton Arrais was built in Neves in the early 20th century. It is considered an outstanding example of Vila de Punhe’s civil architecture and is associated with emigration to Brazil.

Different opening times apply: from Monday to Friday, Porta do Neiva welcomes visitors by prior appointment, on Saturdays from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00, and on Sundays from 14:30 to 18:30. The PR19 – Trilho do Castro de Roques is a difficult circular route measuring 14.18 km, with a walking time of approximately five hours. The marked PR19 short-distance hiking trail also passes through Vila de Punhe.

The PR26 – Trilho das Quintas offers a different perspective. It is located in Vila de Punhe and conveys the municipality’s landscape, ecological and cultural diversity. The trail passes, among other places, by the Casa da Torre das Neves. This makes it possible to combine historic buildings and landscape themes within one travel interest, while the PR19 is more strongly defined by the Castro de Roques and its route details.
