Codeçoso: Ecopista and railway station
Accommodation in Codeçoso
Codeçoso, also spelled Codessoso, is in northern Portugal and lies along the Ecopista do Tâmega. A former railway station, an old bridge and a history of wine-growing offer concrete points of reference when looking for a holiday rental. The place name alone does not guarantee an available rental or a particular price.
Exploring the Ecopista
The Ecopista do Tâmega is intended for pedestrians and cyclists and has a very gentle gradient. It can provide a quiet focus for outdoor activity, but the route length, surface and access points should be checked for the section you plan to use. In the southeast of the Freguesia, the Ponte do Barreirinho crosses the Ribeira de Levadeira. The landscape there offers walking and cycling opportunities connected to the Ecopista. The bridge and path are geographical points of reference; their mention does not mean there is a circular route starting from every accommodation.
Railway station, church and wine
The former railway station in Codeçoso opened in 1932. It has been converted into a T2 accommodation for up to six people. This describes a specific property, but not its current availability or price. The parish church of Santo André is part of the municipality’s historical heritage. The Casa de Vila Pouca was built in 1743 and is associated with agriculture and wine production; it includes 15 hectares of certified Vinho Verde vineyards. A winery is not automatically open to visitors or available to book as a holiday rental. Check visiting and overnight-stay options with the respective operator.
