Manowo lies on the Dzierżęcinka River and on National Road No. 11, 12 km southeast of Koszalin. The Koszalińska Kolej Wąskotorowa is a legally protected 19th-century technical monument. It runs on the 12 km Koszalin–Manowo route and the 20 km Koszalin–Rosnowo route, carrying tourists and excursion groups.
Manowo’s narrow-gauge railway station is also part of the town’s history: it was built in 1912. The green Szlak Spichlerzy is 32 km long. It runs from Mścice via Biesiekierz, Dunowo, Jarzyce and Świeszyno to Manowo. The Trasa Słoneczna, in turn, is a 31 km cycling route that passes through Manowo, Niedalino and Zacisze before returning to Manowo.
