Walks between forest and sea

Grunwaldzka Street is Pobierowo’s main walking street. It is about 3.5 km long and runs parallel to the sea along its entire length. When exploring the town on foot, it serves as a prominent landmark. There are also smaller, quiet streets for walking. The forests around Pobierowo have numerous gravel paths—a different kind of surface from the streets in town, which may be worth considering when planning a walk.

A dedicated beach access is located on Jana z Kolna Street, which connects the bus station with this access point. The path ends at a wooden platform that also enables people with disabilities to reach the sea. This connection is a useful local landmark if you are looking for the route from the bus station towards the beach access.

Active experiences in town

Park Linowy offers three courses that differ in difficulty and size: the children’s course has 12 attractions, the intermediate course 18 and the challenging course 24. When choosing a course, you can take its stated difficulty rating and number of attractions into account. The park is near the sea, at the intersection of Grunwaldzka and Moniuszki streets. Its entrance is on Moniuszki Street, which leads directly down to the beach.

The sports complex brings together a range of sports facilities, including a sports hall, a gym, a football pitch, tennis courts, a multipurpose basketball court, an athletics track and a skatepark. The football pitch has artificial turf and measures 100 × 60 metres; its lighting allows training after dark. Those interested in tennis will find five courts with Wimbledon 20 synthetic surfaces there. They are suitable for recreational tennis as well as professional training, and artificial lighting makes it possible to play into the late evening.

The skatepark also has a variety of features, including a bank, quarter pipe, funbox, grind box, mini ramp and pyramid. The facility is suitable for skateboarding, cycling and inline skating. Together with the other facilities, the sports complex therefore offers several distinct ways to stay active—from the tennis courts to the obstacles at the skatepark.

Flower clock and living tradition

The flower clock, known as “Pachnący zegar,” stands on a small, raised mound. Its face consists of several rows of flowers in different colours. When the flowers are in bloom, the large hands move over the blossoms and release a natural floral fragrance. The combination of flowers, clock face and moving hands makes the clock a special feature of the townscape.

For years, singing patriotic songs together has been part of Independence Day in Pobierowo. Alongside its natural and sporting attractions, this tradition also gives the town a cultural dimension. Pobierowo developed into a tourist destination in the early 20th century: the first hotel, Seeblick, was built here in 1907. Construction of further accommodation followed. This historical development describes the beginnings of tourism in the town, not the current offerings of individual accommodation providers.
