Cycling routes with different itineraries

The marked blue cycling route is 32 km long. From Dywity, it goes via Różnowo, Dąbrówka Wielka, Nowe Włóki, Gradki, Frączki, Tuławki, Gady, Lake Wadąg and Dągi before returning to Dywity. The sequence of places makes the route specific: it passes through several stops before returning to its starting point.

The marked yellow cycling route is also 20 km long. It runs from Dywity via Redykajny, Wilimowo, Kajny, Barkweda, Brąswałd and Ługwałd before returning. At 20 km, it is shorter than the blue cycling route. If you are choosing between the two, you can take their lengths and the places along each route into account when planning your day; no information about duration or difficulty can be inferred from this. A walking and cycling path also runs around Jezioro Dywickie.

Lake and views

The recreational area at Jezioro Dywickie includes a developed beach and a raised viewing platform clad in wood. The platform offers views of the lake. The area therefore offers various ways to enjoy a stay by the water: you can make the beach and the view destinations in their own right, or consider adding the loop around the lake to a walk or bike ride. Church, bridge and local history

The Neo-Gothic Church of the Holy Apostles Simon and Jude Thaddeus is 40 m long, 17 m wide and 19 m high. Eight granite pillars support seven sculptures of apostles. The organ is another notable feature of the church interior: it has eighteen stops, was built by the Bruno Goebel company from Orneta, and its sound can still be heard today. Those interested in church architecture and music will find two distinct aspects in one building.

The bridge over the Wadąg near Dywity also tells a story of change. It was built in 1859; after this first bridge was destroyed a short time later, a new crossing was completed in 1862 and traffic on the road resumed. The bridge over the Wadąg at the entrance to the village also served as a filming location for a pursuit scene in the episode Podwójny nelson of the Polish TV series Stawka większa niż życie. For film and history enthusiasts, this connects a local place with a specific episode in its history of use.

An educational and tourist trail about the Dywity airships begins at the turn-off from ul. Grzybowa. An airship port opened in the vicinity of Dywity in 1914. Together, these two details offer another way to explore the history of the surrounding area, without focusing your stay solely on cycling or the lake.

Market and brewing tradition

A village market is held on Saturdays in the modernised former barn in the centre of Dywity. Food from farmers and local producers is sold there. This gives your trip planning a clear connection to the day of the week and puts local food centre stage.

The Święto Warmińskiego Piwowara (Warmian Brewer’s Festival) hosts the final of the Warmiński Konkurs Piw Domowych (Warmian Homebrewing Competition). Each year, hobby brewers from across Poland submit several dozen beers brewed at home; professional judges from the Polish Association of Home Brewers assess them. The market and beer competition have different focuses: the former highlights food from local producers, while the latter showcases craft-brewed beers and their judging.
