Culture and History
Pasłęk has a 14th-century castle, the “Church of St George” from the 16th century, and an Orthodox church from the 17th century. The historic building stock also includes historic bourgeois townhouses from the 18th and 19th centuries. Pasłęk’s historical attractions include preserved city fortifications extending over 1,200 metres, the town hall, and “St Bartholomew’s Church” with Hildebrandt organs. The Elbląg Canal is designated as a unique technical cultural heritage site worldwide and is connected to the Gmina Pasłęk.

The valley of the Wąska River is a protected landscape area within the Gmina Pasłęk. The Gmina Pasłęk lies mainly on the Warmian Plain and in the Iława Lake District.
