The church in Masłów was built between 1927 and 1937; its style draws on Romanesque and Gothic art. Jan K. Sas-Zubrzycki sought to develop a concept for a Neo-Gothic church. An obelisk near the church commemorates the anniversary of Pope John Paul II’s visit on 3 June 1991. An inscription on a memorial stone reads “Pamiątka pobytu Jana Pawła II w Masłowie 3 czerwca 1991 r.” It refers to his stay in Masłów on that date.
Ciekoty, in the same municipality, adds a cultural perspective. The Szklany Dom – Dworek Stefana Żeromskiego educational centre comprises a reconstruction of a traditional Polish manor house and the Szklany Dom, with training and workshop rooms. Within the municipality, Masłów Airfield has a 900-metre illuminated asphalt-concrete runway and a 900-metre grass runway. The site’s aviation character is also reflected in its infrastructure.
Nearby is Diabelski Kamień, also known as Wielki Kamień: an outcrop of Upper Cambrian quartz sandstone, protected since 1954, on the ridge of Klonówka. The red hiking trail from Masłów or Ameliówka takes about an hour to reach on foot. Check current trail conditions before setting out.
