The parish was established on 12 July 1606; however, the present-day parish church was built much later, between 1870 and 1877. The church was consecrated on 14 September 1878. These separate dates tell the story of the parish and the construction of the present-day church building.
The Baroque woodwork stands out inside. The main altar features images of the Holy Trinity and St John the Baptist, alongside two wooden Baroque side altars. The pulpit is also made of wood and decorated with sculptures of the four Evangelists.
