A stone memorial plaque lists the names of identified victims, including clergy and residents of the region.
In October and November 1939, a detention site and execution site operated by the Selbstschutz were located in Nowy Wiec on a farm belonging to Władysław Wiecki. The memorial cemetery is associated with the regional context of Kociewie and the Starogard Lakeland.
