Stolpmünde lies where the Słupia flows into the Baltic Sea. The beach and harbor, a historic town center and traces of the town’s maritime past give it several distinct sides. Beach, river and trails
The eastern beach is by the promenade and has tourist facilities. The Szlak Uroczysko, by contrast, runs west of the town through the coastal landscape between the beach and residential areas. It offers a different perspective on the landscape without requiring you to plan a particular day’s activities.
The town’s location is also of interest to cycle tourists: the long-distance cycle route R-10, the Nadmorski Szlak Hanzeatycki, runs through Ustka. In the harbor, ships resembling pirate ships offer excursions on the Baltic Sea. This lets you choose between exploring on land and taking a trip on the water. The rotating pedestrian bridge connects the opposite banks of the Słupia and is one of the town’s tourist attractions.
Town history and maritime heritage
The street layout of a medieval village has been preserved in the historic old town. It is protected as a historic monument because of its historical value. A few houses that belonged to Ustka’s most prominent residents, the ship captains, have also been preserved in the Stara Osada Rybacka. These places offer tangible insights into the history of the former fishing village and its seafaring tradition.
The Muzeum Ziemi Usteckiej displays exhibits and photographs from around the turn of the 20th century, post-war documents and memorabilia from the decommissioned Stocznia „Ustka“. Its varied time periods make the museum a way to learn about Stolpmünde’s history across more than one era. Another historic building is the Kościół p.w. Najświętszego Zbawiciela in Ustka: it was built in 1885–1888 and contains organs made by the Voelkner manufactory.
The lighthouse stands out for its octagonal shape, complemented by numerous cornices. The Bunkry Blüchera complex offers a different view of the past. It includes the Park Spotkań z Historią, a multimedia gallery that depicts the daily lives of the soldiers stationed in the bunkers.
Harbor, fish and more to discover
The harbor is not just the starting point for the Baltic Sea excursions on offer. Local fishermen sell fresh fish they have caught in their fishing boats at the Targ Rybny. This gives your visit a direct connection to the fishing industry, which is also evident in the Stara Osada Rybacka. The Tężnia is also located in the Park Usteckich Stoczniowców.

The train station is a short distance from the town center and harbor. When looking for a holiday apartment, you can therefore also consider Stolpmünde as a place to stay in terms of its proximity to the station, center and harbor.
